Please Read and sign if you want to run for office Officer Election Friday 27 April through Friday 11 May 4pm SFA Choir Officers Bylaws 1) SFA Officers are responsible for attending ALL officer meetings. We understand we have made a previous commitment to being an officer. We understand we MUST tell Forrest before missing a meeting.
2) We understand that 3 Unexcused absences from an officer meeting will equal a verbal warning. 4 unexcused absences will mean that the title of officer will be removed. If we are assigned a job at an officer meeting it MUST get done by the deadline per instructions.
3) We understand the consequences of missing a deadline. If there are too many deadlines missed there will be consequences.
4) We understand that as officers we are supposed to set an example for the choir. We will behave accordingly. The only excused absences are your own death, member of your family’s death, or an extreme illness.
5) We understand an officer must attend all choir concerts. There WILL be consequences which may include a warning, the first time, or removal from office the second time.
6) We understand that by not complying to these rules will put us at risk of being replaced—which is also a detriment to the choir.
7) Officers who are removed due to unexcused absences will not be eligible to run for another office--EVER. Officers' duties will be taken over and shared by the remaining officers.
8) We understand that being in a bad mood or thinking someone does not like you is no reason to give up on your job. The choir is depending on us night and day.
9) We understand that if we become ineligible during our tenure of being an officer, we may be removed from office.
10) The sole purpose of officer meetings is to plan a way to make the choir better . It is NOT a chance to criticize or complain. Being polite and respectful during meetings is just as important as during rehearsal!
11) As an officer we understand there may be some sacrifices we may have to make like work, baby-sitting, family things, party) we may not be able to do. We understand that we may become a choir aid 5th period to aid in this endeavor
